Coming up this Autumn…
There are always lots of plans going on behind the scenes at the Parish Council, so we thought that we would let you know about some of the projects that are coming to fruition within the next few months. The damage to the cemetery wall at the entrance will be repaired and the recent work to clear the vegetation and verge in Bathwell Lane will be repeated in the area between the five-bar gate and the other end of the wall by Bathwell House; we will also relocate the grit bin that is on Bathwell Lane and clear the small seating area that it currently sits in. We have a new lengthsman who you might spot around the village clearing vegetation and generally helping to keep things looking tidy, and the fingerpost at Milborne Wick will be given a new lease of life by Somerset Forge. We are very excited that work to create our new Multi-Use Games Area (aka MUGA) at Springfield will begin in September and should be completed by the end of October; it has been designed to facilitate five-aside football, basketball and tennis. It will look something like the one pictured here!
