MUGA works at Springfield
Weather permitting, contractors S&C Slatter start work to create our new Multi-Use Games Area at the recreation ground on Monday 29th September. Please see below the details of the project that will impact directly on members of the public and users of this area of the recreation ground and Village Hall:
- Site access will be via the north double-bar gate, so this area will be unavailable for public use for approximately 4 weeks. Emergency and groundsman access will be available via the southern gate.
- The site compound requires space for a dumper truck, 2 pick-up trucks and an excavator, so will be in the north-east corner, away from Camelot Room, with a loss of only 3 car-parking spaces.
- Site security: Temporary HERAS fencing will be placed around the northern end of the practice pitch and the MUGA site itself. Footpath access to Henning way will be open.

Somerset’s Local Transport Plan
Somerset Council is updating its Local Transport Plan (LTP) and recently carried out a consultation exercise. Feedback will help shape a plan that:
- Meets the needs of all users—now and in the future
- Supports a range of travel choices, including walking, wheeling, cycling, public transport, freight and car travel
- Delivers wider benefits for public health, the environment and the economy
- Makes the best use of public money.
